Once again, Cornell University hosted the Northeast NIRSA Regional Flag Football Tournament. Fifteen teams from different universities made the trip to Ithaca for this incredible event. Twenty-five student officials from eleven schools called the games and an additional twenty-five recreational professionals helped organize and run the tournament. The weather was suprisingly beautiful, the competition was fierce, and the tournament was a huge success!
The Results
This year's Men's Division title was won by "Bad Boyz" from Millersville University. Led by Tournament MVP Jermain Higgins and All-Tournament Selections Larry Turner and Evan Polk, this talented team fought their way through pool play on Saturday and eased their way through the playoffs. "Bad Boyz" edged "Rams" (West Chester University) 21-13 in the championship game on Sunday, earning a bid to the National NCCS Championships in Dallas, TX (January 3-5, 2008).
